Belene is a part of Bulgaria with a beautiful and clean environment, preserved biological diversity and rich cultural and historical heritage. We hope that Belene will become an important energy center for Bulgaria.
Persina Nature Park Directorate is located in Belene. The Park is designated in December, 2000 for protection and restoration of flooded forests and Danube wetlands.
“Dimcho Debelyanov” is a Secondary Comprehensive School. It was founded in 1970. There are 22 classes from I to XII with 500 students. The school building has 24 classrooms, 3 computer rooms, biology room, chemistry room, physic room, workshop, gym, library, surgery, canteen, etc.
