European schools for a living planet
Serbia
Serbia is the country of convergence. Here Southern, Eastern and Central Europe come together. Serbia has a share of the Pannonian plains in the south, of the Carpathians in the east, the Balkan mountains and Rhodopes in the south-east and the Dinaric Alps in the west and south west.
Serbia is also a country rich with water, the most important navigable rivers are the Danube, the Save and the Tisa.
Serbia’s capital is Belgrade with about 1.6 million inhabitants; all in all Serbia has a population of 7.5 million.
