Ukraine together with Romania is the second country which shares part of the beautiful Danube Delta. Right at the Romanian-Ukraine border Europe’s most popular river flows into the Black Sea. The Danube Delta is of very high value for plant and animal species, especially for birds.
In Ukraine’s western parts, the Carpathians connect the Slovak Republic and Romania. The highest peaks in the Ukraine are about 2000 metres above sea level.
Kiev is the name of the Ukraine capital, which is situated on both sides of river Dnieper that crosses the country from north to south and flows in the Black Sea. The city hosts about 2.6 million people.
